I stayed just for one night. Clean hostel with good location and exceptionally spacious bathrooms with one-square-meter shower - so comfortable!
Check in was easy enough. It's manned 24 hours a day. Could have done with one key card per person, rather than per room, but that's not too much of an issue. I was part of a stag group, which was 9 lads between 27-50. We booked 3 rooms, each sleeping 4 people, so we had one spare bed in each room for space. Each room had it's own bathroom. The staff were friendly enough, however one party was made to wait to pay for a towel whilst the front desk checked in a large party of school kids, which took a while. I think the front desk is only equipped to do one thing at a time. Top tip, take your own towel. The rooms were clean and had plenty of space. No irons or coat hangers etc, but this wasn't an issue for us. Cheap and cheerful. Beds were comfortable, but you have to make it yourself and there's no maid service as far as I can tell. Showers were great, very powerful. Soap is provided in dispensers, but I took my own items.
Location was brilliant. 15 minute walk from the Rynek (town centre). There are a couple of small shops on the same street, and you have to try the ice cream place neaby. The hostel uses a buzzer system to access the building, so you can come back at any time you like.
There was breakfast available for 10 Zloty per person, but I didn't go. A couple of people from our group went and described it as 'basic'. Overall, I'd definitely return to Hostel Wratislavia, and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants something cheap and cheerful.
I really liked this hostel. For those who are looking for a place that's in the heart of everything, then this might not be for you. I was able to get to the Rynek in an 8 minute walk but I really liked the walk. It's a beautiful hostel and the beds were comfy. The only thing I didn't like is that my bunk bed was a bit unstable but that could have been just the bed itself and not all the beds in the hostel are like that. Other than that, I really enjoyed the place and would come back again!
I agree with previous reviews, if you're traveling alone and you want to meet people this is not really a place for you as it lacks a social vibe. I was there with a group of friends though so I didn't mind. The hostel is really close to the train station and to the town centre. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious. Breakfast is ok although the lady serving it didn't seem to speak much English but she was friendly. It seems a bit more like a hotel than a hostel.
A lot of old man living there so its kind of weird, I would not recommand to solo female travelers but otherwise facilities and cleaness are above average !
A great hostel within easy walking distance to the city centre. The rooms were clean and comfortable and well maintained. My only complaint is that there are no shelves for the upper bunks which would have been useful to put my watch, phone etc. Otherwise, a great place were I and my friend would be happy to stay again.
Warning to solo female travelers that most of the guests at this hostel are older men, by far. I haven't experienced this elsewhere in Europe. I didn't feel comfortable sleeping in a dorm with three men and no other women, but reception was not understanding or accommodating to change. I ended up having to switch to a private, at the cost of an extra 80 PLN. Reception did offer this at a discount, although at first said I would have to pay for both the bunk and the room.
It was a pleasure to stay in Hostel Wratislavia, the apartment was really spacious, clean and full of comforts. The staff was really kind and always ready to give suggestions about what to do and to see in the city. Highly recommend!!!
